I have a skirt that I used to wear all of the time, but I haven't worn it much the last year or more. I was thinking of getting rid of it. but then I realized that I could use it as a base to make a patch skirt. I've been wanting to make a patch skirt for a while now, so it seemed like the perfect solution.
Here's a picture of the base skirt
Firstly, I applied a base layer of patches to the skirt. I used pieces of plaid that I got from the thrift store and an old flannel my mother didn't want anymore. I didn't use up all of the fabric from these garments, so I think I am going to make a matching top or something for this skirt. Even if I don't do that, I will find some way to use them.
