Cephalopods!

This is half a joke, but I really love cephalopods! This page isn't for a piece of media; it's about real life cephalopods. For a while, I thought I would go into marine biology to study mollusks, which is the phylum that cephalopods are in. I am also very interested in gastropods. Bivalves are still cool though! I actually started college thinking this is what I would do. I ended up changing my major in the first semester of my sophmore year.

My Favorite Cephalopod: The Octopus (I took this picture at the Atlanta Aquarium)

I don't really have a favorite type of octopus. I love them all.
My second favorite cephalopod is either the vampire squid, dumbo octopus, or nautilus.

Fun Facts

Cephalopods are the only category of mollusks that do not all have external shells. Instead, they evolved their internal shell.

The nautilus is the only cephalopod with an external shell.

They're cool!
